How did I get here?

I guess that it would only be fair, in a blog titled “My life as a minority” to explain who, how, and why I got where I am.
Well, here goes.
I grew up in a small town in North Carolina. Although we weren’t rich with money – we were rich with fun and good times. As a teenager, I spent my years either behind juvenile detention bars or on the streets (where I had no business being). Now, as an adult I am more together and have a better grip on reality – thankfully.
My life as a minority began 3 years ago. I wish to explain and share these experiences with the world. If I only get one reader – that’s okay – just as someone can witness my life besides my husband who is always here.
My husband is the reason that I am a minority to begin with. As a caucasian, I never knew what it was to be different, or an outcast. When I first got married, my husband and I decided to move to Puerto Rioc where he is originally from.
This is where my life as a minority began. Things are different now, my life is hectic although less complicated than originally thought.
Stay tuned and I will explain what happened when I first landed on this island.

Your story sounds very intriguing! I’m excited to hear what it is like living in puerto rico!
